- Bringing Sports Fans Into The Sports Economy

Since the 1990s, when TV revolutionised the way sports are watched, the sports fan community has found itself empowered. Even more so, with the internet revolution when fans could access scores and news on their desktop. Then the mobile revolution when they had their sports idols and their performances, records and news in the palm of their hands. And then the Social Media revolution whereby sports fans found new friends across the borders and formed their own interest communities.
And now augmented reality is coming whereby sports fans can transpose themselves into stadia, at player training sessions and even locker rooms. And Artificial Intelligence applications which will allow fans to play their own games and contests within the live sports games.
Where does all this leave sports fans scattered across the world, speaking different languages but united by their passion for sports, their favourite teams and players? Is there a way to combine all these fans, combine all these technologies and the applications to form one club worldwide which has a matrix of sports communities — playing their own games within each sport, socialising online with each other, following their common sports idols, rooting for their common favourite teams, blogging together, tweeting together, creating content, questions, challenges and ontests together - multiple interest communities but under one sporting eco-system? Yes, we believe there is a way and this is the next big driver of the sports fan industry. And not a surprise, that Blockchain forms a central part of it.
Sports content is data and statistic driven, sports engagement is prediction and contest driven and sports fans are goal and rewards driven. And all of these drivers find great application in Blockchain. Blockchain Technology can record sports data and create statistical analysis offering deep insights. Blockchain can aid the prediction of outcomes greatly and allow for virtual game contests. And Blockchain can help run very successful goal ladders and loyalty programs for sports fans.
Why didn’t someone think of this before?
Because Blockchain has been busy correcting one of the biggest and fundamental issues facing the integrated world — that of centralised financial transactions. Blockchain experts forgot to look at applications of Blockchain in other industries. And sports experts may have had little exposure to or may have been sceptical of Blockchain technology. But not anymore. The technology is here to stay — and make a huge impact in the world of sports fans — by creating an altogether new online ecosystem.
So here we are!
Driven by our passion for sports and technology, we have conceptualised this and are already creating this global sports eco-system. We will also create tokens using Blockchain, which can be used by sports fans in the eco-system and beyond, as their unit of trade to win awards for creating content, winning contests, reaching goals and winning their own sports fan championships. They can also trade the token with other Sports fans in their communities and in the ecosystem, for making predictions, providing hints and knowledge to win contests and achieve their respective goals. The token called SPORTCO can also be used by sports fans to buy goods online — sports merchandise, tickets made available through several partnerships that will be made with sports clubs and institutions.
Over a period, this sports Token should become the preferred token of exchange, trade and awards in the world of sports. This is the token which we are bringing to you to acquire use. We will be utilising the tokens realised to enhance and provide cutting edge technology to our sports games — for which some prototypes are already created and have been showcased. We will also be using the tokens realised for marketing efforts to bring together sports fans in multiple communities under one ecosystem.
