I have aroused the ire of you and a large percentage of the conservative population and I am not going to win this battle.
I merely postulated a proposition of how we can reduce the fact that two incomes is and has been required in America for nigh on 45 years and unionization is one way to do that.
If you look at my original salient points you will see there is welfare (give people money), raise the minimum wage (establish a floor) or unionize (allow collective bargaining to flourish).
If, as you say, it is difficult to survive in America with even 2 incomes and sometimes 3 then I ask you, my good man, how would you solve the problem?
I am willing to listen and to adopt your position should you be able to answer that satisfactorily.
Because since the gilded age, which we appear to be reverting to, there has been no other time in history that so many had such a good standard of living than that glorious period of 1946 to 1971; dates which dictate a period of great unionization and prosperity, when America was great.
Dates when Donald Trump and I were young men and we observed for the most part the man working outside the home making a decent living on his own and the wife working inside the home as a caretaker, nurturer and vixen keeping the family intact. All this thanks to the union.
From that year on a slow slog down the mountain of inequality where we find ourselves today. And until we can return to that great era of yesteryear we shall boil in the hammers of this miserable hellhole we call America.
Yes America, where we have disintegrated into where we were until November, 2016. And now beginning, just starting to emerge out of the doldrums and into the sunlight like a pusillanimous creature slinking out of a slimy cesspool.
I soon see me singing that song of the downtrodden after the Great Depression and with tears in my eyes I honor my Grandfather Zemartis from Lithuania who was suffering greatly during that time but who was literally saved by President Franklin Delano Roosevelt:
Happy days are here again
The skies are blue and clear again
So let’s sing a song of cheer again
Happy days are here again!
