At Helium, we’re big fans of Limor Fried and Adafruit Industries which is why we’re excited to highlight the latest Helium Console pre-built integration for the Adafruit IO platform.
This pre-built integration accelerates the process for all Adafruit users to start using the world’s largest, public IoT network.
With Console, users can easily set up an Adafruit IO integration in minutes and see data from compatible sensors appear on Adafruit IO via The People’s Network.
From the Console, users click the Adafruit IO icon, enter their Adafruit IO credentials, and specify a group name or use the default. While the default is guaranteed to be unique, additional template tags for group names are provided for flexibility.
After that, simply give the Integration a name, choose a decoder, and you’re done. Device data appears as Adafruit IO Feeds via The People’s Network (instructions with screenshots here).
With a Console Label this Adafruit IO Integration can now be applied to 10’s, 100’s or 1000’s of devices.
Join The Uplink to See the Integration in Action!
To see this integration in action, register for the latest episode of The Uplink on Tuesday, February 2nd at 12PM PT with Helium engineer Kent Williams here.
Kent will demonstrate how to connect a simple sensor with the Adafruit Feather M0 with RFM95 LoRa board, program it with an example sketch, and configure the Adafruit IO integration on Console. You’ll see data streaming on Adafruit IO’s dashboard in no time!
Can’t wait and don’t have a Console account yet?
Sign up here, and receive 10,000 free Data Credits (use to send 10,000 messages to Adafruit IO).
Stay tuned, this year we will continue to integrate Console with additional IoT platforms. We believe once members of these platform communities experience Console they’ll be hooked!
