- ECB’s Lagarde Doesn’t Want You To Buy Bitcoin, and That’s Why You Need Bitcoin More Than Ever
Buy Bitcoin, Take Power.

Bitcoin is the best hedge against uncertainty. Years pass, months pass, politicians come and go, economic crises follow one another, but Bitcoin remains faithful to its fundamentals. Bitcoin’s monetary policy remains unchanged since the official launch of its network on January 3, 2009.
I am writing this today, but it will still be true in 1 year, 5 years, and even 50 years from now.
Bitcoin gives you essential guarantees in a world that is more uncertain than ever. The fact that Bitcoin wants to give power back to the people in matters of money is something that frightens the powerful people at the head of the current monetary and financial system.
Central bankers and governments hate Bitcoin because it puts the power back in the hands of the people. If the Bitcoin system is adopted by a majority of people on Earth, that minority of people will no longer be able to make arbitrary and totally unjust decisions.
Based on this, it is clear that a central banker will never be able to defend Bitcoin. This was demonstrated once again on Wednesday, January 13, 2021.
In an interview given at the Reuters Next conference, Christine Lagarde, President of the European Central Bank, once again showed her total ignorance of what Bitcoin is. Nothing surprising so far. As always with these opponents of Bitcoin, the attacks always revolve around the same clichés: money laundering and the financing of other illegal activities.
Here is an example of what Christine Lagarde said about Bitcoin during her interview:
“Bitcoin is a highly speculative asset, which has conducted some funny business and some interesting and totally reprehensible money laundering activity.”
If you ask Christine Lagarde for examples to support her accusations about Bitcoin, she will not be able to give you any. She is simply repeating the outdated clichés she has heard about Bitcoin. She shows her total ignorance of a phenomenon that clearly represents the future. For a president of the European Central Bank, this is something really disappointing.

2020: The Year When Everything Changed for Bitcoin: 2020 Was a Special Year in Bitcoin History, but 2021 Will Surpass…
Speaking of money laundering and the financing of illegal activities, I am surprised that Christine Lagarde did not talk about the U.S. dollar and the euro. These two currencies are the ones most used for illegal activities. As for money laundering, private bankers have been doing it to their hearts’ content for decades.
All the money laundering scandals involving bankers have involved payments in U.S. dollars or euros. I have never seen bankers using Bitcoin to launder money. They couldn’t because the Bitcoin Blockchain is transparent and constantly monitored by thousands of people. The illegal activities of these bankers would be quickly pointed out.
Using the U.S. dollar within the opaque banking system is much easier.
Rather than tackling the real problems that plague the current banking system, Christine Lagarde prefers to dissuade European citizens from buying Bitcoin by highlighting Bitcoin’s dangerous volatility. As I frequently explain, Bitcoin’s volatility is a feature, not a bug.
Bitcoin’s price volatility can become your greatest ally if you take the time to understand the why of Bitcoin which will help you develop a long-term vision. Bitcoin empowers you simply by giving you total power.
The idea that people open their eyes to money and take responsibility by taking power is disturbing to Christine Lagarde who calls for the implementation of global regulation of Bitcoin:
“There has to be regulation. This has to be applied and agreed upon … at a global level because if there is an escape that escape will be used.”
After having finished criticizing Bitcoin, Christine Lagarde took the opportunity to highlight the digital euro project on which the European Central Bank has been working for several months and which should become a reality by 2025. The message conveyed by Christine Lagarde is simple: Bitcoin is dangerous, but the digital euro will be a good thing. Progress for all European citizens according to Christine Lagarde.
This type of statement is not surprising, but it should alert you. The fact that Christine Lagarde does not want the people to use a free and decentralized solution such as Bitcoin is precisely the reason why you should absolutely buy Bitcoin.
This digital euro that Christine Lagarde is selling you will only be a generalized monitoring tool. A way to control citizens even more by strengthening the powers of confiscation and censorship of the powerful at the head of the current system.
If you want to escape from this society of mass surveillance that is being built for the future, you absolutely must take your destiny in hand today by buying Bitcoin. Bitcoin is there to give you back your power over money by protecting you from the power of censorship that central bankers like Christine Lagarde want to keep over the people.
It is up to you to decide whether you prefer to trust the central bankers for your future or Bitcoin, which is the money of the people supported by the people.
