1.First start off by getting a Ethereum wallet, a popular one is MetaMask. But any wallet will work. Make sure you always have access to this wallet and its secure since this is where your money will be sent.
2. Download NBMiner (when downloading you might need to use Firefox since chrome flags it as virus) and right click and edit on the bat file for the coin you would like too mine.
miner: basically the program that will do the mining for you, there are many different types but for this tutorial I used NBMiner
algo: different coins have different algorithms to mine it. ethash is the algorithm to mine Ethereum.
pool: when mining crypto there's the option to mine solo and mine using a pool. It takes very long to mine solo using 1 graphics card only, so the solution to mine with it is mining with many other miners who combine the hash rate to mine crypto. There are many different pool, in my opinion hive pool is best because it shows highest pay rates per 100mH most of the time
wallet address: this is where you want your payout to be sent, most pools payout at 0.05 or 0.1 ETH so once your miner makes that much the pool will send you your payout.
worker name: that's just what you wanna name your worker lol, its good feature for when you wanna manage a few miners and see the hash rates on the pool
3. After configuring the miner bat file. You can start it by simply just clicking on the file and it will run. Also some miners may come with extra files to optimize the mining experience.
4. If you did everything correctly (its only 3 steps lol) you should see a command prompt window opened up and in a few seconds start seeing the miner stats.
