We’re just a few weeks away from the upcoming official exchange listing of Props! The listing will help millions of (non-US) Props apps users easily buy Props tokens for usage in their favorite apps, or sell tokens they’ve earned. This will make Props even more powerful for apps and users alike. As we prepare for the listings, we are taking the opportunity to ensure full transparency and reporting consistency around the Props Token supply. While we cannot yet publish the specific exchange details, we will strive to ensure ample time for users to create and fund accounts prior to the listing.
There are three important numbers to pay attention to when it comes to circulating supply:
The definition for our Circulating Supply comes from CoinMarketCap. The following categories are considered excluded from the Circulating Supply:
As an additional note, approx 50MM-100MM tokens from our Treasury have been earmarked for our (non-US) exchange listing strategy. These tokens will be lent out as liquidity provisions to facilitate healthy and liquid markets across some of the venues and crosses that Props will trade on, helping to enable low friction as market participants enter and exit Props. The tokens will be paid back in full upon the termination of the liquidity provisions which is expected to be twelve months from listing date, and thus are not considered part of the Circulating Supply. An additional ~4.5MM treasury tokens are earmarked for non-US marketing campaigns, and will be considered part of the Circulating Supply.
Tokens are categorized by address, so that as soon as they leave particular addresses, they are immediately counted towards the Circulating Supply. We have created a Public API, which can be used by anyone to get the latest supply data, including various industry sources, to ensure they are all using consistent numbers. We also recently updated our Metrics Site to use this new data, which is why you may have seen numbers updated recently.
Putting all of the above together, the following is the Props Token Supply:
